Hiya I hope I read your page correctlysmiley - smiley
I don't judge people it can take a life time to get to know someonesmiley - okI take them as they aresmiley - smiley
Sometimes you can meet someone who is very much like yourself they are easy to get on with and you can have a laugh etc.
But there are other who are not in those cases realise that you have certain differences and except it do not try and change to your way of thinking etc as it would not be right/unfair too!! and would just cause problems and upsetssmiley - ok

smiley - smiley well thank you for your response Margaret, the way in which you read my article i cannot comment on as you did not express an opinion one way or the other.

What you did put though is totally true, and you can not please all the people all the time, so only please the people that matter most.

I do have my own views on Euthanasia as most people do, but as i put with an open and unbiased mind and judging each case as an individual is i believe the only way to deal with such a delicate situation. Also a lot of research and history on each case must be presented every time, including conversations with the doctors/medical advisors of the person to whom is in question.

Sorry I did not read it properly but my views on Euthanasia, well I do work in a hospital and look after patients.Every person is different it all depends on their health how they will recover and quality in life. There is only one person I can think it could be kinder. He had a very bad stroke he will never recover he cannot do a thing for himself. So every need has to be done for him he also has to be suckioned out he cannot swallow,he cannot communicate at all even when he cries he cannot make a sound he cannot produce any tears even though he wants to,The only thing he can come is his eyes. His family do as much as they can BUT he will never get any better.
He left our ward about 18months ago I saw him again say about a year ago.He had been moved as they were being moved to the new block this did distress him I could see he was the same.He was crying but do sound was coming out.Only a mircule would be able to help him.

smiley - smiley that is the sort of case where the decision is maybe acceptable, in my own opinion if someone is living in constant pain and their quality of life is not to how it should be, then this is definately an issue of debate. More so if the person in question is able to signal that they are agreeable to this action (of a sound a mind as is possible of course).

There will always be people who do not believe in euthanasia regardless of situations, regarding life as priceless. To these people i could only say if we are considered to be civilised, which is the most humane decision to make?

when I was at college we watched a video on Doctor Death they interviewed people who seeked his help it was very depressing to watch. But you could see their point of view.
We were divided into two groups for and against. Both made very good points and views.
