Hi there from Down Under. I was born in England and parents migrated to Oz in 1962, when I was 10, so I am not Canadian. However, my mum's , Betty, migrated to Canada and she has family living there.
I have never seen my Aunty Betty or her family, never had any contact in fact.
Does this "qulafy" me for membership?

hmmm.
sorry I've not responded sooner (I'm the [quasi-permanent] temporary manager of the club page, pending the return of Lonefairy) but I've been out of town.
I might have to refer this to some of the others for a consultation and a decision.
I'll post a note to Chief Gordon's thread and wait for comment.

Lots of people seem to be away for the summer or rest or something lately, so we'll see what thoughts we get.

Hmm.
Cons:
1. Born in England
2. Lives in The Land of Oz
3. Has never had any contact with alleged Canadian relatives
4. Does not mention if has ever visited Canada, or even wishes to do so
5. Spells 'qualify' somewhat creatively
Pros:
6. Uses the smiley, so obviously likes
Hell, dbgibulli, you have my vote!

Taliesin and G'day.
Short reply to your vote for me:
1)Could't avoid that,
2)Nor that, parents choice,
3)Didn't know addresses until recently,
4)No,have never even left Oz, Time rich, Cash poor,
5)Was typing excitedly.
As for , lots of. Live in Oz....no explanation required
P.S. Not many Aussies drink Fosters, best left for your Southern neighbours

Hell, (am I still allowed to use the double hockey-sticks word? They haven't banned that, too, have they?) I'm only Canadian by accident. My Mom was from Scotland, Me Pappy was from the US (and his ancestors were movers and shakers in the early American colonies) and I nearly grew up in Kenya.
I'm not around much any more but I'd say yes.
Besides, anyone who doesn't frink Fosters is a keeper, in my books.

, what does that mean?
On a more serious note, my kitten brings me leaves, lizard tails, branches, trees, whole forests even, but never any .
Dear Aunt Susan, is she trying to tell me something?

Aw! How sweet!....
And thank you! You remembered! Mwah, Mwah!
Not for another two hours, though. The do is on Saturday night, though I am worrie that it is going to be me, the band and my family "if they can make it". Ever the pessimist.
At least I'll have lots of cake. I apparently ordered a cake when I thought I was just "discussing ordering a cake".

That is a little "in thing" between Anhaga and myself.
Basically, he was wishing me a festive natal celebration which occurs tomorrow.

Aha!
Actually, I am quite happy about the birthday and about my age. I quite appreciate that I am very lucky to be here at all.
