Hello there Nonentity!
At the moment, the Powers That Be don't allow opinion pieces into the Edited ("official") version of the Guide, which is where all entries in Peer Review are intended to go. For more on what they are looking for go to Writing-Guidelines (with a bit of re-working this could probably get in, if it's called something like "the pros and cons of DVD extras")
Alternatively, you could submit this to be featured in <./>ThePost</.>, h2g2's very own newspaper.

Thanks for your advice.
I'm still pretty much new to all of this, and therefore still in the process of finding out what works and what doesn't.
Perhaps I'll refer to the guidelines in more depth and see if I can re-work it.
