Quest for the Watch
Time Traveller - Knights of h2g2 Astronomer - Chairman of the Society of Time Travellers Started conversation Oct 25, 2003
It was an ordinary watch... apparently.
My grandad made it.
Corroded silver, it's embossed surface showed no hint of magic at all. It was very intricate, it had a glass front and a glass back, you could see right through the mechanism. Nothing unusual there.
It just jumped through time a lot.
My grandfather devised a chain that could hold it, that prevented it from escaping into another timeline. The watch gave him unusual long life... (well, most magical things do, dont they) (note: he did not mutter "Gollum")
And so for three hundered and sixty five years he walked on this earth, until one day his grandson (from the son of his second whom he married when he was 297) was playing with the watch, and took it off the chain. My grandfather died shortly after, and I was hurtled into this time and place.
Shortly after I landed, I let go of the watch which vanished into time once more. Now we must travel to find it...
All who feel they are able must sign on here with any methods of time travel they posess.
