Well done on the new format.
It makes for a nicer, freindlier, cleaner, more urbane, more civilised, and readable post altogether. Congrats on the coding.
And of course, I am right near the top now, so readers can ignore me more easily and get to the cartoons quicker.

Besides the unforgivable and transparent ploy to remove <./>AggGag</.>/CAC from its rightful place at the head of the table, a position it has filled with pride and vogour, lo these many moons, I must comment upon the positive nature of the 'colour coding'.
Ubder each Orange header we find two columns, a Blue right-brain column and a Green left brain column. They only appear to be equal but separate after realising that the uncentered Headers are in fact grouping two vertical columns of titles.
Under the Header "Cartoons" for example, we find h2g2Life in the Left Brain Green and Eustace in the Right Brain Blue. Both are cartoons.
Since no rationale, no logic, no practical explanation can be given as to 'why' one would use two colours for each 'things-that-are-all-the-same' category (as defined by the Headers), I have to applaud your brave and creative esthetix.
What a relief to discover colour coding that is not in fact Colour Coding. I felt a great burden lift from my shoulders as it became obvious that I was, for the first time in decades, not 'obliged' to discern any meaning from colour but simple enjoy its diversity and splendour.
Thank you Greebo!

I agree totally. Colour should be something to enjoy without discrimination and preconception.

And all because I thought it would be a good idea to start up a Post group
Alright, I didn't actually say anything on this subject but... (goes on for another half hour explaining how wonderful he is, and how everyone should read "The 168th Greatest Story in the Universe - A Tribute"[at the bottom of the fiction section] because there are 's and for anyone who leaves a message at the bottom, and there is also the threat of pain of death if you don't )

i like the new design, with one suggestion:
Centre the orange headers. Then it would make it easier to realise they are meant for both the blue and green sides of the page, and they'd also stand out a bit more.

So... is this retroactive (meaning that you'll be changing the previous issues [actually more like retropassive as the Post team isn't really active at all {especially Greebo}])?

Now with added brackets!

Well done for doing it, even if not everyone agrees, as you say, it does show that we are an actively argumentative little team of Posties!
I personally would agree with the idea of centreing the orange headers; then the right brain/left brain/apartheid divide shoud become less of a problem. I also wonder if the cartoons section might be better nearer the top as quite a few people whizz in just to see these; with any luck, the rest of us can grab them as "passing trade" when they've looked at the visuals.
Rotating the order of the columns is the only way, but I suppose we have to accept that "you can't please all the Posties all the time" so I suggest a permanent new section (coloured of course) for weeping writer, sulking scribbler, crying cartoonist etc to complain bitterly about their status or lack of it. If this is done creatively enough (loudly going without saying), making it into this column itself should ensure massive publicity, fame, fortune & jammy s for life for whinger of the week.
So, verc, it was you who started all this trouble then was it? Can you publish a list of fees at The College for Successful Anarchists? (with & without jam; is this where the bit comes in?)

Change the back issues Deus?!!!
You have to be joking! We are up to issue 165 now, no way am I ploughing back through them all and rearranging the furniture.
As with all developments we make to <./>ThePost</.> this one will become part of the history and fixed firmly at its starting point of 22/05/03.
We'll have a look at centering the column subject headers - not making any promises though.
Extra egories? Another possibility we are thinking about, but this old machine needs time to readjust.

I didn't realise quite how revolutionary this new approach was. I was looking through the archives before and the layout of the last issue was more a less the same as the first. This truely is history in the making. And we have Shazz and <./>ThePost</.> team to thank for it.
Three Cheers for <./>ThePost</.>

In a continuing crusade for the liberation of colour from the assumption that it has meaning and the subsequent human liberation from any social obligation to learn this secret code, may I ask why the Headers all have to be Orange. Or all of any colour for that matter.
If the indiviual entries are blue and green (so far) then the Headers could be red, yellow, orange. And they could be in different fonts (appropriate to their category), some centered, some left some right ..or better still Marquee the headers!

*puzzled*
But what colour bells?
And what shape?
I seem to recall that tubular ones did well.
