*Professor Tal Rasha enters, his black robes sweeping imperiously behind him.*

Ah, a student, excellent, you know this is an optional activity, there is no grading, only failure and success, your mistakes here will be learned from or your teacher will stop teaching. Now, get your want out and please practice the "stupify" charm on that dummy there

*points his wand at a dueling dais, a wizard shaped crash test dummy appears, a wand in one hand*

for now he won't move, then I'll enchant him to dodge, and then to deffend

*STUPIFY!* A flash of light and a crash. Thye dummy is missing a leg.

"sorry, aim was a bit off"

*Neither eye gets larger, but if either was a normal eye, it would. Tal Rasha looks between Kiro and the dumby*

[Tal Rasha] perhaps you should work on the aim abit, and the pronunciation. I would suggest more practice before we move on to live targets, I rather like my limbs where they are

Kiro is raises his wand once more, keeping a careful grip on it.

"STUPIFY!" *flash, strike* The dummy is dented in, clearly hit on the chest area.

Is this Tal Rasha's famous dueling class that I've heard ever so much about?

*looks around the room, sees the dented dummy minus one leg*

Must be.

*sits at a nearby desk*

*chuckles slightly at Kleopatra's comments.*

[Tal Rasha] you may begin practice as well if you like

*Tal Rasha raises his wand and waves it at the next platform over, another dummy appears, but this one has all its limbs intact and no dents in its chest*

*Tal Rasha taps the side of his wand it emits a little laser dot. Tal Rasha points it at the dent in the chest of Kiro's dummy*

[Tal Rasha] this is better, much better, but the idea is more of a disabling cuncussive blast, and less a chest crushing blast, that is a different spell that we will work on later

Yes, but the spell will behave differently when used upon different things, it had much the same effect (except more powerful) when Prof. Dumpledore used it on a door to save Harry from a death eater impersonating Prof. Moody, whilst it have practically no effect on a dragon on most occasions. If my dummy was animate, it may mearly be unconcious, for a Stupify spell can be safely used on most animate things, big as a Hippogryph, small as a house-elf

[Tal Rasha] that is of course true, but these dummies have been enchanted in such a way as that spells act on them as they would on humans, otherwise they would be rather useless, like those muggle dummies, the uh...*struggles for the muggle word*...uh...um...trash cest dummies? those things they put in their cars and then fling at walls. you know

Fascinating, thats a pretty useful spell for practice, will you be teaching it to us in Charms?

assuming that we get that far, and that there is no interference from the Ministry, yes

speaking of class, when do terms start?

[Tal Rasha] I'm not sure really, but soon I imagine

*pulls his new dueling wand* "Stupfy"

*The dummy fcrashes to the floor seemingly unharmed except for a tiny dent where its head hit the ground*

Much better, didn't even injure it

[Tal Rasha] very good

*Tal Rasha points his wand at the dummy and waves it. The dummy picks itself up and stands ready to dodge*

[Tal Rasha] he'll be diving and jumping and sidestepping and so on and so forth, so, you'll need to be top of your game accuracy wise, have at it

*fires the stunning spell towards the dummy, but it dodged in time, in classic "Matrix" style no less

that wasn't nice
*looks around the room, stops at a couple of places nodding, thinking to himself* yeah, maybe that'l work... *kiro moves 10 paces to the left*

"Stupefy!!!" The blast fires forward then kiro moves , the Dummy dodges, but the blast hits a mirror towards the back it, it deflects to where kiro is now standing and is redirected again with an expertly placed Shield charm, back at the dummy, which is hit*

*as the dummy falls over Tal Rasha stabs his wand at it and casts another spell, the dummy falls on its shoulders, and backwards rolls onto its feet grabbing its wand from its scabbard as it does so. The dummy points its wand at Kiro but does nothing*

[Tal Rasha] now he'll fight you, he will use any charms you use, and a shield charm and a simple redirecting charm. so be very careful, he may do some unexpected things

I will be, so I'll have to get creative too.
I have some plans for character developement for this class so let me indeed get creative, check your message center for details, and I'd be VERY grateful if you could help because its going to need some cooperation on your part
*fires a Stupefy at the dummy*

*The dummy casts his shield charm, the stupify glances off and nocks a few books off of a book case. The dummy dives into a combat roll and comes out in a genuflect stance and points his wand at Kiro's gut and proclaims "stupify." Not waiting to see the effect he stands and does a back flip to a safe distance where he waits and sees what has happened with his charm*
