'Home Of Today' - A must for any modern household, this is a book that should be placed :

1. In your servants quarters (if you are lucky enough to have them of course!) to remind them how lucky they are to live in the modern world !
2. In a toilet for those times when you need a little light relief and entertainment !
3. On the coffee table, a must for the delight of visitors, although they may be distraught to find out you have no servants !
4. In the kitchen, next to Delia Smith "How To Cook" (book of similar nature, tehe!)
5. By the bed, to aid sleep and other activities !
6. In your handbag, you never know when you might get caught out, also great for filling those moments, when the tube has been cancelled, and your train will be delayed for 2 hours. Make all commuters jealous, whilst in the face of adversity, chuckling away to yourself for hours!

And the list is by no means complete, Amazon share price could double over night ! Although, I must admit, I really do like receiving these weekly witty installments !

With regard to the cold treatment, would there have been a similar treatment recommended for the plague ? We live in a world today, where the thought of taking two days off work, never the less allowing ourselves the pleasure of two days in bed, is inconceivable !

For many of us, as the invalid, we are in charge of administering our own diet, "oh if only I had a servant" *bubble dreams*. Hampered by a cold or flu, we are lucky enough to get out of bed and boil the kettle for some Lemsip and take some aspirin ! But to enjoy the luxury of an invalids spotless tray, or to be served once course at a time. I'm living in the wrong era ! I want a time machine, and I want it now !

If only they knew then what we know now about rubber ! So maybe I'd like my time machine to take me into the future, but only if I can be promised servants, probably of the robotic nature.

Terri, yet again another brilliant insight into the "Home of Today" of yesterday, how times have changed ! Are they for the better ? AskH2 ?!

Could I make a request, I wonder ? Can "Home of Today" advise me on "The Husbandry of The Domestic Pet in Your Household", or "The Diet - An Expectation of Your Chef" ?
