Just spotted this in the Sunday Times (UK newspaper)
"Dosha was knocked down and shot in the head by a police officer at the scene to save her the pain of her injuries. At the town's animal control center, she was put in the freezer. But when it was opened 2 hours later she was still alive.
She had hypothermia but seemed to have suffered no ill-effects from the accident."
