It is possible, but obviously unethical, to increase your chances as a gambler at roulette if you can place bets after the ball has been put into the wheel, and the wheel is spinning, by using a computer to estimate the numbers the ball is likely to finish up on.

I remember hearing about this on the radio a year or two ago, where the scam resulted in the gamblers being barred from casinos. I think they used a shoe based relay to tap when the ball and wheel passed certain points and received coded messages back somehow which allowed them to quickly place a likely winning bet.

Sorry I can't give a better reference to this at the moment.

Well, as I said, the whole gambling games bit was scheduled to be part of a Project which I decided to shelve.

Mostly because I couldn't actually be bothered researching all the bet-payouts for craps and the rules of baccarat.

But I am midway through an entry on Fruit Machines which, God willing, should make an appearance soon.
