Would anybody object to a page that had links to people's meet photos and related journal entries etc? Just so that the photo's can be accessible from one place.

It'd be good to get the photos on one site but that'd be a nightmare to organise (who's site would we use, for starters), but hopefully having it all in one place could lend a little coherence and possibly help stir up enthusiasm for the winter meet.

I think there are Apages for that. ask Sereph or fords, one of them should know. Maybe the latest links could be added to them ?

That's not the page I meant, it's either on fords' or on Sereph's PS - or maybe on EV's , there are links for the Butlins meet pics etc.

Ah, I know the one's you mean. I was thinking of something connected to the Meet page rather than in anyone's PS. PS pages can be hard to come across whereas having it all attached to the Meet page makes things easier to find.

Maybe post a link to the A page on the meet page ?

That's the idea, but it'd only work if people were happy to have links on the page.

Then I'd suggest you go and asked them, eh ? I personally, would rather have them in my friends' jounals where they are now- I know where to find them , but then that's probably only me

Thing is, there were people from different groups who might not be on eachothers' friends lists, and it'd be nice for newbies to see photos of meets - might help some of 'em decide to come along (as long as we hide any photos of 2legs!)

Asking them is why I started this thread - hopefully those that went to the meet are subscribed to the meet page and be able to give an opinion here.

So what you want is a 'A' number page, on which we can put links to differnt peoples offsite photos of the meets?: so it'd be something like

2006 summer meet

Nighthoovers photos(clicabkle link to nighthoovers off HooToo site where she stores her photos)

The one true BoB's photos(a link to the one true BoBs photo page)

ETc...

Etc...

Previous meet name

blah.... kinda thing? or do you mean setting up a external site that everyone could put their photos one? I've not a problem putting up the 'a' number page, woudln't take long so long as people cna post to me the links to their off site photo webpages/thinggs

only problem is I can't get the very first and thus far only link I've put up to geds photos from this meet to work for some reason I'll go try fix it, then try gather up more links to people photos, and if I get round tuit I'll go back and look through some of the recent previous meet pages to find where people have put links to photos there and link them from the page too great idea BTW I'll credit you on the page Seriph

Yeah, that was the idea. It'd be nice to have an external page with all the photos together but that would be tricky to organise (as the page would have to be in one person's name).

Links to journals/diaries pertaining to the meet would be good to - or a unified meet 'minutes' (or link to a Post feature).
