no money for libraries

The city council of Hannover (Germany) want to close libraries. Hannover is so poor a town!!!
Since 1981 they tell the same .
They want to close the branche-library I am head of once more. It is one of the three best ones in Hannover, but the main-library is nearby.
The people around start to protest again . The council resolution will follow next year.
We´ll see.

I don't understand why people can even begin to think that closing libraies can even begin to approach the outer wilds of sense as an idea. Do they really think a bunch of functional illiterates will be healthy happy productive citizens attracting good jobs to the area? Exactly! Ha!
Am hoping very hard that they leave your library alone, Sued.

That's very alarming Sued. I'm hoping that it's a false alarm.
