A list of when the different members joined?
A list of armed conflicts?
A list of departments and when they were founded?
A list of lists on the history page?

you could also include personal vendetta's within the army along the lines of the mp's (especially me) always trying to get Tosh for his consistant disobedience and trouble making, the fun stuff like that. these sort of things add to the character of the history but are probably only worth mentioning briefly.
s off to copy and paste other suggestions from thread.

found this from verc:
Well we got rid of them eventually, so we like to claim victory - but they kept claiming victory as well, so I guess it was a kind of a draw.
You see me, Spook, Rimmer and Shoal Prexy (who seems to be popping up again now), were all in the barrack one Saturday when Owlatron (the leader of the Thundercats) decided he was going to be rude and suggested that I be his tea boy!
Well I couldn't stand for that, but he then decided to invade and so his number 2 (Luke Skywalker - don't ask me why he called himself that) came in as well (I think some others followed after too). So for a while we fought against them, bu they just wouldn't leave. Eventually we managed to capture Luke, and told Owlatron (who kept claiming to have the abilities of a bat) we'd let him go if they left. So they did - briefly. When they came back they put "BOOM!" on all of the Terranic Army conversations and on all of mine as well. It took ages to get through the back log.
But as it turned out Luke and Owlatron got in alot of trouble for it with the itallics, and there was a bit of a trial, where it was found out that Luke Skywalker had also been in trouble for a lot of other things as well, and both of them were suspended until the itallics could find out what was going on. As it happened I ended up speaking up for Owlatron (who strangely enough turned out to be alright, if only a bit mad), and explained that it was all reasonably good natured fun. Both got off with it, but Luke Skywalker was given a warning that if he ever did anything like it again he would be in massive trouble.
After that spook set up the World War Battle field, where we started fighting first in the First World war against the Thundercats, and then we moved on to the Ultimate All Armies War thread.
And there you have it. The Terranic Army history in a nutshell...

wait, there's more!
yeah, you could involve the creation of the PHENOM and the growth of the ranks and the subsequent advance in technology and space travel and the ensuing battle with the Vogons, the Vong and now the Go'auld. the growth in the alliances to the D.I.S.F, SGC, UII, CGE(or not) and the fact that no-one rivals the Terranic Army for sheare numbers and power and, above all else in this place, imagination!

Could someone please describe the vogon battle, and the Phenom situation in a bit more detail - please.

Ace Rimmer [pretending] Posted Mar 25, 2003
I've only been involved in the vogon battle from time to time, but I did recommend a special award for the people involved in it, but it came to nothing.
I hate bureaucracy!

Ace Rimmer [pretending] Posted Mar 25, 2003
Please explain your last statement.

Terran Posted Mar 25, 2003
I was wondering whether spook got involved and asked you not to give the the awards, or was it some one else.
I said that "it wasn't like the old days" because I felt we had a lot more freedom to do what we wanted when I first set it up.

"give the the awards, or was it some one else."
should be
"give /the/ awards, or was it some one else."

Ace Rimmer [pretending] Posted Mar 25, 2003
Well I asked spook, he said he'd think about it I guess he just forgot.
Yeah, we did have a lot more freedom before...

creachy Posted Mar 25, 2003
ahh, but with numbers comes responsibilities. i bet in the old days you were never an organised elite fighting machine just waiting for the word to destroy any enemies?
hmm....this could take a while
Terran Posted Mar 25, 2003
Yeah, but at least I knew everyones names, I've lost track of half of the people in the army. Thats why I came up the regiment system...
hmm....this could take a while
Terran Posted Mar 25, 2003
This place was a lot easier to run back then. Maybe I could find a way of getting to know more people with out going around like a blue a**e fly. I wonder, should I try and get a regiment for myself, or would that just confuse things...
hmm....this could take a while
creachy Posted Mar 25, 2003
then this writing of the history will bring you right up to date then. do not despair, there is always a way.
hmm....this could take a while
creachy Posted Mar 25, 2003
if you want i will volunteer to read the backlog of the vogon attack and write a report for you.
if you got your own regiment you could make it the elite troup or something like that, special ops kinda thing.
hmm....this could take a while
Terran Posted Mar 25, 2003
I you're up to it, that would be great.
I'm sure to get my own regiment (you see I did have an opportunity to have a regiment before, but turned it down), I would have to cut a rainforrests worth of red - tape. So I'll have to see how that goes.
hmm....this could take a while
Ace Rimmer [pretending] Posted Mar 25, 2003
No, I asked to make a brand new award, for the importance of the battle.
