Cilantro, aka Coriander? Don't think so!

I'm sure that you are right about them being from the same plant; but, in recipes, Cilantro normally refers to the leaf from the plant, the herb, and Coriander to the fruit of the plant, the seed pod.

I'm not sure that that last bit is absolutely correct, but my jar of coriander looks like it's full of little pepper corns.
