Ok, we seem to have a few old and new researchers in the northern part of this dear old isle...
Suggestions please for a meet!

There's a Dublin Meet on 16 September, so let's not have it too close to then!

I'm a definite potential - how's that for hedging the bets?
Not sure of any suggestions I have just yet.

Belfast, within easy walk of the Central Station, on a Saturday.

OK - great to see such interest so quickly!
Yes, I'm a possible attendee for Dublin on 16th September.
How 'bout mid-October, and yous can all buy me a pint for my birthday
I'll have a check for anything exciting in Belfast around then.

I would love to get up to Belfast again for a weekend - but it's unlikely I'm afraid. My family is very young (4 kids under the age of 6) and there is always a ton of things to do during the weekend.

Well Belfast sounds good anyway. Somewhere close to Central is a good idea too. Though when and what to do is the big question.

I'd suggest a trip to W5 except that I was there a few weeks ago.

There's always W5, the science museum. It's pretty central, in a mall with a few eating and drinking places. But also easy to get to the centre from there.
Or http://www.openhousefestival.com weekend of 8-9 October. Live music, poetry readings etc in the Cathedral quarter.
Or the festival starts on 21 October http://www.belfastfestival.com

I'll go along with everyone else. If people want to go to W5, I'll go along to, but you'll probably have to stop me explaining everything.

Explaining is good. Celebrate your intelligence, so long as you're not arrogant about it.

NPY Posted Sep 2, 2005
Don't worry, you didn't. Sorry if I implied you were. I just know some people who are fantastic at telling you something as if they're the only ones who know it and you're thick.

Suggestion:
Saturday 8th October.
Meet at W5 about 1pm, then get something to eat and move to the Cathedral Quarter for whatever festival thingy is on there.
PS Weren't the lads fabulous last night?
