Hi Justin .
Congratulations you have just proved the point I have been making to you for months. Well done man, well done !
What? You don't see why I am so happy? Ok let me explain....
According to the doctrine that you propose it doesn't matter what you do in your life. You could work selflessly as a nurse in the slums of Calcutta teating the sick, bringing hope to the forgotten children of God, but it just would not matter. You could dedicate your whole life to worship and prayer, but it just would not matter.
Also according to your doctrine no matter how hard you believe, no matter how much faith you show, it does not matter, for your faith is worthless. Only the faith that your God chooses to author in you can lead you to be saved.
How then Justin does your God choose who to save? If he ignores all your attempts to live by the words of the Bible or the example of Jesus and the prophets. If he ignores any attempt to show faith by action or prayer, then what else is there?
From our side of the fence his choices are utterly random and capricious. No matter what we do it avails us not. Please don't bang on about approaching Jesus with an open heart and being prepared to be born again for if your God does not author faith in you then it matters not a jot.
Show me the wisdom of this method of selection Justin, for I cannot see it. Seeing as this choice is very important, for those that are not saved are headed for the lake of fire, I suggest that you think long and hard on this one. If you can't answer it then you have just blown away any credibility you have as a preacher, because all your preaching helps neither us nor you.
Only the capricious choice of an uncaring God stands between us and damnation.
Blessings,
Matholwch the Hoovooloo/|\.
