The quantities are generally pathetic and the popcorn is slightly soggy
Surely that depends on which brand you've chosen - I have tasted microwaved 
that was just as good as pan-popped...

Perhaps it was the microwave, or maybe it's just improved since I last tried it. I'll give it another go.
