A Conversation for Toffee Popcorn

I remember making popcorn with my mum when I was little - I would always lift the lid to see the corns pop and she would always tell me off for making a mess. But I soooo wanted to see what happened...
Years later a friend of my mother's gave her a perspex pan with a perpex lid. When I came home for a weekend (being a mature responsible student by now) she showed me the pan and the first thing I said was "Can we make popcorn". Now I have a pan with a glass lid and watching popcorn pop still entertains me. Well small things for small minds I guess.
And another thing....How can you publish this on pancake day? How can I enjoy pancakes when I should be experimenting with popcorn?

Confession - pancakes also fell at the first hurdle in my house. Now swelling the ranks of non-conformists and going to have pancakes any old day of the year. Such a rebel. You have to wonder, what would pancakes with toffee sauce be like? Hmmm maybe add some cream to stop it setting....
Clear lids - all pans should have them.

Golden syrup on pancakes is certainly recommended. For theme and variation, so's honey, brown sugar, lemon juice mixed with icing sugar and chocolate spread. Not all at once however.
