Additional curious fact.. for all its size its laying on its side !
and people regularly die climbing the damn thing.. usually some red faced tourist with a heart condition.

I seem to remember (you'll probably only have a clue what I'm going on about if you're from the UK) Janet Ellis (mother of Sophie Ellis-Bexter) suffering an asthma attack part way up on a Blue Peter Summer Expedition to Australia...quite harrowing, first time I'd ever seen an asthma attack (even though it was only on tv) even though I knew several people at school with the condition.
And I think I've just revealed how old I am
