What a lovely article! I used to be taken on the line as a bairn to eat ice cream in Musselburgh. (Does anyone know why M. is known as the "Honest Toun" btw?)
I found that the links to the parly building website and the railway timetable didn't work, and I just thought that one of those nice italics might come along and fix it!

It's called the Honest Toun because the townspeople are supposed to have taken in the Earl of Moray when he was injured and on the run in the C16-17 and kept him hidden and nursed him back to health, and not taken a penny for it... as far as I remember. There's a monument about i=t in the little carpet across the road from Lucas.
the links worked when it was in PR, and I can't imagine Njan the sub-ed didn't check them, but I'm sure soemone will come and fix them. I'll have alittle look and see what I can see.
Thank for your comments, Perseus!
