Brings back memories .....

Mikeo the gregarious

Thank you very much for an interesting article on Solihull. I used to live not too far from there (close to Wythall if I recall) but I barely remember the town of Solihull (or even nearby Shirley) as I moved away about 12 years ago. However, I do just about recall some bits, including the NEC and the near-all Tory council. Actually, I have a record of Jasper Carrott's stand-up from about 1975, which mentions the council - "They had a Labour councillor once, but they hung him!" - as well as a sex supermarket in Solihull that sold clockwork cucumbers! However, I digress ..... it's nice to be reminded of places from your youth once in a while.

Tends to denigrate Brummiejam a bit. I suppose every large inner city has derelict areas and various social problems but I think -considering Brum's history as the engineering works of the western world, that the whole area is a very nice, very verdant place.

I clicked on one of these buttons as opposed to the "I just dropped out between my mother's legs" school of thought. The thing is, which requires the most effort and which requires the most choice?

Answer that and you will understand racism.
