As a visitor to the UK I've managed to figure out the reason for the name *Zebra Crossing* (and even *Badger Crossing*!). I now know the name of and can devise the reason for the title *Pegasus Crossing*.

How on earth were the names *Pelican* and *Toucan* crossings devised? smiley - erm
