I made a couple of new sets on the scroll saw this weekend. But if you really want a set, look around the poly pages and I think somewhere there is a link to show how to make them from Legos. Or I saw this reading about the SOMA puzzle post (3d pentominoes) was a simple way to make your own set of either the 2d or 3d pieces by gluing dice together. What's nice is they should be of uniform size and if you're carefull they should make a nice set. So, if you only want a set of pentominoes, pick up 60 dice or stop by a craft shop and find 60 uniform cubes and some super glue. Ok... now that I think about it, the thing I read about was for making the Soma pieces so you'd only need 27. Well, either way, it's an option. Legos is probably the cheapest way to go however. Steal them from a kid you know.
