A Conversation for The Small Faces - the Band

Green Circles vs Rentaghost

Just listening to Rentaghost and Green Circles back-to-back (oh, the magic of iTunes)...

... and what's this I hear? A similarity of some kind? Maybe it's the honky-tonk-outta-tune piano. Or maybe it's the haunting melody in the verses ('scuse the pun). Or maybe it's the way the vocal harmonies do that thing that they do that I can't explain. Or maybe... oh I don't know. It's just a similarity of some kind. smiley - biggrin

Natalie

smiley - laugh You can hear it, can't you?! I hated Rentaghost. Ruins the song for me.

(You can get the Rentaghost theme on iTunes?!!! This technology must be stopped now!!)

Don't panic, I didn't get Rentaghost on iTunes. Just _played_ it using iTunes. I found it somewhere else on the interweb thing.

I can see how the association could ruin it for you. So you won't be interested in a copy of my renataghost mp3 to do your own comparison then? smiley - erm

Phew!

I've been trying to wipe Rentaghost out of my mind for about thirty years...although it is a very kind offer, Paff, I think I'll have to give that one a miss.

Now, the theme tune to Chorlton and the Wheelies - that was something else. Surely only a matter of time before that gets sampled by Gwen Stefani, surely?

smiley - cheers

Ahh, yes, here's Chorlton... http://www.80scartoons.co.uk/chorlton.php#sounds

Although, for my money, Jamie and The Magic Torch wins it every time... http://www.80scartoons.co.uk/jamie.php#sounds
