.... it has just become gender non-specific!
good to read that chivalry should be practiced by even the weak for the fit. i often hold doors open for men and women, help colleagues with bundles or across obstacles and regularly stop if i see someone distressed and offer help. while i am often turned down (through such an offer's inherent superfluousness in the given circumstances) i am always thanked and i always feel better i stopped and asked.
while kant's categorical imperative is not the whole anser to a question of morals, if you practice what you would like done to you, chilavry obtains and the world is a better place.
