i never really believed in santa, tooth fairy and all those, i just saw straight through them, i think its better, if i ever have children i would not lie to them, tell them everything they wanted to know so that when they go to school they will be really smart and not just know a bunch of rubbish.
Believing your parents never lie wont meant your kid will get kidnapped, just explain to him that there are bad people in the world and not to talk to strangers, he will therefor beieve you more than other kids because he will know its not a lie while other kids might think their parents are lying

Consider the following lines from 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' by Black Sabbath:
Nobody will ever let you know
when you ask the reasons why
They just tell you that you're on your own
Filling your head all full of lies
The rest of the song didn't make a lot of sense, but I feel that those four lines do. what do you think?
