Sorry but Stovies are not related to Bubble and Squeak.
Stovies are layers of potato, onion and meat traditionally mutton
but any meat will do I prefer Pork Sausages and I have seen it done with Corned Beef.
Built it up in a pot add a little water and beef dripping on top and steam till cooked.
Serve with salt and pepper.
This is a traditational Scottish wedding meal from the days when
meat was a luxury.
They were reputed to have been served at Marries wedding.

Delicious things! My favourite uses a mix of corned beef with bits of chopped bacon. Mmmmmm!
