A Conversation for Time - Concepts and Perceptions
Proportional time
RandomRyan Started conversation Dec 6, 2004
Time is proportionate. And in more ways than one. First of all, it is proportionate to your age. Time passes for a 10 year old 5 times slower than it does for a 50 year old. A day seems to pass faster the greater the percentage of your life it encompasses. Secondly, the longer away the moment you are waiting for is, the shorter each individual unit of time within the space of time from now to the moment you are waiting seems. For instance, if you are waiting for a bus that you know will come in 30 minuets, each individual minuet seems to take more time than if you were expecting the bus in an hour.
P.S: If you've got enough time to go and wait for a bus for an hour, you've got too much free time. Go cure cancer, or something.
