i understood that in the legend, when Finn was dressed as a baby, his wife made pancakes or scones or something and put rocks in some and not in others.

she gave the ones with rocks to the scotish giant and they broke his teeth. the "baby" got the ones withot rocks and when they sctoish giant saw how easily the baby ate them he got scared by how strong Finn must be and fled, scattering the causeway on his way.

maybe i'm wrong here. i live only a few miles from trhe Causeway and that was what i was always told.

Sounds OK - definitely Finn was connected with the Causeway.Lough Negh was supposed to be the whole left when Finn threw the Isle of Man at the fleeting giant'
