Interesting article. I was in the Merchant Navy back in the 60s. I can remember docking in Hull, but I'm not sure about Grimsby. There is one possible typo that I will point out: "The Dock Tower began its working life in 1952...." Perhaps 1852?

A couple of minor adittions:
Where it says:
One particular incident occurred between the wars when a steeplejack collapsed on the scaffold during an inspection of work.
One particular incident occurred on September 10th 1923 when a Mancunian steeplejack James Davis collapsed on the scaffold during an inspection of work and died.
Open days are now organised a couple of days a year by the Grimsby Rotary Club2
is a little unclear
Since 1997 tours of the Tower are now organised a couple of days a year by the Grimsby Rotary Club2 often to coincide with ABP's Dock Open Day.
