Hercules the Bear

This statue of Hercules the grizzly bear commemorates the time he went missing for 24 days on Benbecula in the Hebrides. Hercules, a television star, had been filming a Kleenex commercial at the time. He didn't really enjoy camping in the wild: when spotted by a crofter and recaptured, Hercules had lost 15 stone (210 pounds, 95 kg). There were lots of fat sheep around, but he wasn't used to eating raw meat.
