This week's title is Mysteries. Clockwise from upper left: A squirrel using its tail as an umbrella, a medieval hymnbook with notes, Fyrish Mountain in Scotland with clouds, a singing backbird at the top of a tree, a coot stretching its wings in a wetland, a nestful of baby robins looking cute, the Holy Ever-Lovin' Grail from Valencia Cathedral, guaranteed to be the real deal, a bush full of pink roses, and amysterious pathway through a wood arched by a green tree with a gnarled, leaning trunk. Enjoy the mysteries here!

Join us this week for journeys of magic and mystery. You think I'm hyping this, don't you? Well, froods, you are wrong. If anything, I'm underselling. This week's issue is so primed with surprises and mysterious goings-on and unbelievable discoveries that there isn't a single place on the whole internet that is fuller of wonder than we are.

And not one bit of it contains the dreary word 'wizarding'. So there.

To begin with, animals are pranking photographers.

Birds are showing off to SashaQ. A squirrel flaunts its umbrella. (You did know they're called 'umbrella critters', right?) Baby robins are cocking a snook at FWR. Willem, more restrained, shows us a classy duck. Don't miss the wildlife this week.

You think Bluebottle can't top what he's already drawn at the church fête, I'll bet. You just check this out. Hint: he hasn't run out of monsters yet.

Our Create challenge yields further miraculous fiction as the AI artiste threw up a collection of characters that practically forced me to write a parody of a very commercial scifi series. And no, you still won't see anything with 'wizarding' in.

Speaking of things visual, Awix is here to prove that cinema, like everything else, is only getting weirder. I didn't have a French remake of Jaws on my 2024 bingo car. You won't believe the venue: okay, if you know the French, you probably will. The other film is even stranger.

Our novelists offer you an array of weird choices: do you want to read about a conversation between a boy and an owl? (STILL no wizarding going on.) Or a serial killer with commercial motives? How about a college prank that's got out of hand in a big way? A novel approach to maths? A homesick space colonist? Take your pick – or, better yet, read them all. You've got all week.

If you are celebrating Father's Day this weekend, please take the time to read 'Redundant God?' by FWR. You may find yourself nodding thoughtfully, whether you are a parent or just had one.

And, finally, the pièce de résistance: you won't believe this. Angel LiaDan has found the Holy Grail! In Spain. No, the Smithsonian didn't get it. Nor did the British Museum, quelle surprise. But our intrepid roving photographer has snapped it for us. Enjoy the virtual tour of Valencia Cathedral. Help us solve a mystery. And spare a thought for poor Saint Vincent, because they've got his arm.

We also have mysterious cinema, even if the mystery is, 'Why was this film ever made?' We have a puzzle for you. We impose on you with more humour. We know you're tough and can take it.

Enjoy this issue. Send more Stuff so that we can annoy the internet some more. And have a wonderful week out there.
