Pont Colbert, Dieppe, France
Editor's Note: Superfrenchie has captured a wonder: the Pont Colbert in action. It only takes 2-3 minutes for this 1888 swing bridge to turn around using the power of the river water itself. This is nifty engineering. The bridge operators are called pontiers. They use an unusual insulation for the mechanism in winter: manure.
