Holes in History: The Alp

Tavaron writes:

Part 3 of my series of old houses, an alp. To this day farmers in the Alps bring their cattle up the mountains in summer. The milk is usually immediately used for making cheese. The alp on the pictures consisted of a single building with a large cow shed on each side and a dairy and living places for the people in the middle. On one of the pictures you also see the huge pot for making cheese and the large round sieves are stored above..
