Everyday Groundhog

A groundhog enjoying a sunny day.

Yes, it's a repeating phenomenon: the groundhog behind the Post Office. Yes, he's cute. No, we don't keep them for pets in Pennsylvania. The suggestion, made by Prof Animal Chaos, caused enormous laughter at the farm picnic.

Groundhogs can be shot without a hunting licence any day of the week except Sunday. (Nobody's shooting this one, he's under special protection, and besides, it's in town.) It is also illegal to release a caught groundhog on anybody's land but your own. No fair regifting groundhogs.
