I like the namechecking that takes place in Queen's 'Invisible Man' before each member of the group perform their solos
Queen do have a few songs that mention Queens, but the Queens are indeed people rather than namechecks White Queen is my favourite

The Invisible Man is clearly a valid case of introducing the band to an audience who otherwise wouldn't be able to tell who is performing (due to the contagious invisibility in question).
This time of year you can get to enjoy Slade's Christmas classic 'Merry Xmas Everybody' and the cheeky name-dropping line 'Do you ride on down the hillside in a buggy you have made / When you land upon your head, then you've been slayed' (Slade)
