I love reading about the history of computing, so thank you for this. I'd heard of Grace Hopper, but didn't realise just how involved she'd been in the development of the industry.
When I heard she'd joined Digital (DEC) I wondered if she'd been involved in VAX/VMS (my favourite operating system), but it looks like she joined in 1986, where VMS was developed in the seventies.
