I dread to think of the noise levels of an organ on a submarine! Thank goodness Heavy Leslie hadn't been invented.
Very ingenious getting a thing like that through a hatchway, clever old Stevens!

Can you imagine the organ playing Christmas carols? 
On a sub there'd be no escape from the noise.

Yes indeed, if the volume had been turned up to Four that could have threatened the hull integrity of the sub!
