I feel the must to say this: there´s a genocide going on in those lands. The word Zion could be poetic time ago, but now we have Zionism, which is pure fascism.

Thank you for adding to our store of songs about Jerusalem. I used to live in Greece, and I love eastern Mediterranean music.
I share your concern. If 'Zion' is to be a hill dedicated to God, then it should be a place of peace and welcome, not of hatred and division.

"Jerusalem" was also the title of a poem by William Blake. It was set to music by Hubert Parry. There is no need for me to say more.
