It's Unreal, Man

Can you think of a snappy caption for this odd picture? Of course you can. You're a h2g2 Researcher.

It's Unreal, Man

Giant legs sticking out of a window in the Haight-Ashbury section of San Francisco.

We ran out of cat pictures.

Just kidding. But we thought we'd show you something completely different this time. Back in the 1960s, the Haight-Ashbury section of San Francisco was a mecca for hippies, with their message of 'tune in, turn on, and drop out'. They liked bright colours and unusual art. Brilliant photographer (and national treasure) Carol M Highsmith has done a whole series of photographs taken in the district in the 21st Century – you can see them where you see all her great photos, at the Library of Congress site. Carol M Highsmith is a photographic genius – and she shares her work freely. We appreciate her.

This photo was particularly trippy. In fact, it inspired another 'Heavy Leslie' video. What does it inspire you to write?

Give us a witty caption. And send more photos!
