They've been around for a couple of centuries, and it's a recessive gene. Thank goodness, a doctor in the 1960s figured it out and gave them a pill to take whenever they wanted to go to town.
Sometimes the biological variety of Earth just astounds me - I can only imagine what other planets might come up with, don't you think?
