A Conversation for New Year's Resolutions

Resolutions for 2018

Two Bit Trigger Pumping Moron

So what about resolutions for 2018?

It seems to me that losing weight and saving money resolutions don't work well. A few years ago, we made a resolution to go to the beach once a month for a year. We live in Atlanta, so the closest beach in Tybee Island is about four hours away. We can get to beaches in Florida (both the Atlantic and gulf coasts) and South Carolina in five hours. It started getting hard after I started law school, but we made it.

This year, I'm thinking of something fun but less grueling. Mine is to visit museum each month.

Well done on achieving the beach resolution! smiley - island Good luck for this year - sounds fun indeed smiley - biggrin I like museums and I'm lucky to have quite a few nearby so I go regularly but probably not quite once a month, so I admire your resolution.

I did go every month to a nature reserve last year because I bought a year's membership, so that was an incentive. I've renewed my membership, so as well as aiming to get good value for money I've signed up for #my200birdyear where I need to log each type of bird I see during the year and try to get as close as possible to 200 different ones smiley - biggrin

I went for a simple one this year: watch all 31 'Carry On' films in the 31 days of January. New Year's Resolutions don't normally last beyond January anyway...
