Short and Sweet

A statue of the Short Brothers.

Icy writes:

I found this arresting sculpture when walking on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, UK.

It shows the British aviation pioneers the Short Brothers, who established a manufacturing plant on the island. They had initially produced balloons, but were inspired by the Wright Brothers to build aircraft, and set up the first aircraft production line. They went on to build many of the planes used in the First World War.

Anyway, history lesson over. We need a caption!
