I'm reading a book about William Hesketh Lever, the founder of Port Sunlight A87831778 and was amused to learn that he went to Hawaii (the Sandwich Islands) in 1892 and heard Ta-ra-ra-boom-de-ay ("that latest product of the culture of the age") there! "After we had heard it, we were prepared for anything and surprised at nothing".
