Viewing conditions lousy, varying from overcast, evening of the 12th to hazy, 1st magnitude night during the predawn hours the morning of the 13th, 1st magnitude stars visible at a glance, 2nd magnitude stars visible with a hard squint.

Would have preferred a 7th magnitude night, more than 7 stars naked eye visible in the Pleides.smiley - shrug

Thanks for the reportsmiley - ok
I went out at 11pm and saw more in the first hour than the second. It was our only clear night a week either side. It's been raining a lot here, we've had a month's-worth fall in one day in some parts of the UK. August had been a washout, our "summer" feels more like Autumn turning to Winter.

smiley - sadface

Viewing conditions here are at their best immediately following a torrential storm.

smiley - biggrinHope to have a few during the upcoming autumn and winter.

If the El Nino forecast proves out, good chance.
