A Conversation for Audax - Long Distance Cycling with Added Cake

Is that the lemon drizzle, rock cake or cherry slice?

I serve cake at one of these - my Dad is into this and organises what I now realise is an audax event once a year. It looks like great fun, she says, comfortably from behind the tea urn.

Anyway, from one audax rider to another, Dad says, great article!

Thanks and apologies for missing this comment for so long!

What ride out of interest?

Stevenage start of summer one on the day the clocks go forward. Actually, Dad's retired from organising it now, so I no longer help out. Still!

Oh I want to do that one day, I grew up in Bedford so my Mum's house would be an excellent base camp. My first 600 km ride was The Buzzard from Leighton Buzzard - hence the name - for that very reason.

So who is your Dad if that's not too personal question, I wonder if I know him or at least his name.

The reason I found these latest comments incidentally is that I was informed when I was out on the Bryan Chapman Memorial at the weekend that someone on yacf has posted that they were inspired to start Audaxing after reading this article - result! :D
