... you might have been a little young at the time, though, but do you remember when the giant Buddha statues of Bamiwam, Afghanistan, were blown up by the Taliban? That was a bit before 9/11. Anyways over here I remember how upset my mother became over people destroying a heritage that should belong to all of humanity for such petty reasons.
At any rate, thanks for this article, it is about a very important issue!
