It's just one of those names that sticks in your brain and you can't think where you know it from, now I do!
"My Favorite Martian" was my favourite TV show when I was knee-high to a grasshopper, when my friends and classmates were watching Tom and Jerry, Mr Ed and Scooby Doo. Ray Walston also popped up in Star Trek to my immense delightplaying the wise gardener who taught Picard and Janeway a thing or two about life.
I've seen a few episodes of Picket Fences and hadn't forgotten that masseur

I like Mr Finkel - and Ray Walston, too. Walston was a very good serious actor on Broadway, but he would be forever remembered for Uncle Martin. A clever, clever show.

Sorry to see him go. Alav ha-shalom.
He was such a cheerful, funny guy, and I think he did a lot to make people aware of a bygone culture.
