Thanks, Milla. I remember hearing this story when I was a kid. When I went back and watched the films, I was just amazed at some of these people.

I like your approach to this, Geo. I studied anthropology as an undergrad and know that many cultures live by very different rules. Fear is a terrible thing. In the recent bombing of the Boston Marathon people seemed to want to know which group of strangers attacked. Fear of strangers and the desire to "get retribution in early" is still alive and well.

If you watch the documentary I linked to, you'll find an anthropology who feels the same way. He drew parallels between the Waodani and the modern US.
