The Very Verst of jwf: Penix Risenfall
Created | Updated Dec 23, 2012
Penix Risenfall
down I dive
from the heavens
a dove of love
dodging angel tears
past harp-shaped ears
to be a circling gull around
pillowed bosom mounds of clouds
then stalking as a soaring hawk
across the meadow belly of earth
to'rd the ancient valley of birth
where on leather condor wings I glide above
wet lava flows from the vulcan cave
until the heat has drawn me down
and flame consumes me;
I die, consummate.
Later
when you rise to go
my heart cries woe
mind wails no
my soul says whoa
and body signals grow
and lo, another penix rises
on the smoke.
