Mol - on the new tablet

I've had a particulary bad day but reading this cheered me up and reminded me it's too long since I read the stories!

I became a huge fan of Jeeves and Wooster a while back and read every book about them I could get my hands on. A few months ago, however, I picked up one of the later books (I think it was Jeeves in the Morning) and had to put it back down again after about twenty pages of increasing disappointment. What was fresh and hilarious in the twenties had become stale, tired and boring by the seventies. I'm sticking to the earlier books from now on.

Still, in his heyday, Wodehouse was an unmatched .comedic writer

Yes, I thought that J in the M wasn't as good, or interesting or funny as some of the others.

Enjoyed the books, enjoyed the entry. A masterpiece of organisation. Must reread the books again. I tend to just keep up with Jeeves and Wooster in the reruns of the tv series.

I recommend reading Wodehouse's memoirs; 'Performing Flea' and 'Over Seventy' - I especially enjoyed reading about his days as a prisoner of war!smiley - biggrin
